Just what level of knitter are you?

Where does your skill set place you? Here’s how we look at it at Valley SOCK. Find where you fit, and then consider this when choosing classes.

Beginning Knitter

Someone who has never knit before, or someone who learned eons ago and can’t remember how to cast on.

Advanced Beginning Knitter

Someone who has learned to knit, and can cast on, create the knit and purl stitch, make an increase and a decrease, and bind off.

Intermediate Knitter

Someone who can cast on, knit, purl, create mirrored increases and decreases, bind off, pick up stitches, and has knit at least a few items to completion.

Experienced Knitter

Someone with the skills of an Intermediate knitter who has knit a number of items and a few garments that require some shaping.

Advanced Knitter

Someone very comfortable with their knitting who has no problem knitting from patterns, and has knit sweaters and socks.
